Kids and Teens Braiding Center

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Kids and Teens Braiding Center (“we,” “our,” “us”), owned and operated by Stephanie Anderson, and the client (“you,” “customer,” “parent/guardian”).
By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and all related policies, including our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Accessibility Statement.
If you do not agree, you must not use our services or website.
2. Services Provided
Kids and Teens Braiding Center provides professional hair braiding services for children and teens, as well as retail sales of hair accessories including bonnets, combs, clips, and related items.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or update services at any time without prior notice.
3. Eligibility & Parental Consent
Our services are primarily for minors. All bookings for individuals under 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who assumes full responsibility for:
• Providing accurate information
• Approving services and styles
• Authorizing use of products and techniques
By booking, you confirm you have legal authority to consent on behalf of the minor receiving services.
4. Appointments, Deposits & Payments
• All appointments require a deposit (if applicable) to secure booking.
• Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Full payment is due as outlined at the time of booking.
• Failure to pay may result in cancellation of service.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel appointments at our discretion.
5. No Refund Policy
All services and products are non-refundable, except where explicitly stated in our Refund Policy. By booking or purchasing, you agree to this condition.
Adjustments may be offered at our discretion but do not constitute a refund.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients (or parents/guardians) agree to:
• Arrive on time for appointments
• Provide accurate hair and health information
• Ensure hair is properly prepared (if required)
• Communicate any allergies or sensitivities beforehand
• Follow aftercare instructions provided
We are not responsible for issues resulting from failure to disclose relevant information.
7. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time if:
• Hair is not in suitable condition
• The requested style may cause damage or harm
• A client behaves inappropriately or disruptively
• Health or safety concerns arise
• Accurate information was not provided
If service is refused, deposits may be forfeited.
8. Hair & Health Disclaimer
By receiving services, you acknowledge and accept that hair braiding and styling may involve:
• Scalp tension or discomfort
• Hair breakage risk based on hair condition
• Allergic reactions to products used (if any)
• Sensitivity or irritation
Kids and Teens Braiding Center and its owner are not liable for any hair, scalp, or skin reactions resulting from services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for dissatisfaction with styling results
• We are not responsible for third-party actions, including shipping carriers or payment processors
All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
10. Independent Contractors
We may use independent contractors to perform services. These contractors are not employees.
While they are required to follow business standards, we are not liable for independent contractor actions beyond legal obligations.
11. Payments, Chargebacks & Disputes
By completing payment, you agree not to initiate unauthorized chargebacks.
• All disputes must be directed to us first
• Chargebacks without prior communication may be contested
• Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in a permanent ban from services
We maintain records of agreements, policies, and communications to protect our business.
12. Intellectual Property
All branding, logos, content, photos, and materials belonging to Kids and Teens Braiding Center may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
13. Privacy & Data Use
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take reasonable measures to protect personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Website Use
You agree not to misuse our website or attempt to interfere with its operation, including hacking, scraping, or unauthorized access.
15. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved within the appropriate jurisdiction in Maryland.
17. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections will remain in full effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with all related policies (Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, Accessibility Statement), constitute the entire agreement between you and Kids and Teens Braiding Center.
